For me being cultured is one thing. But I draw the line at absurdity and I refuse to aspire to the elevated mentat state where I find meaning in the absurd. But I can appreciate quirky and funny. But something tells me these artists aren't trying to tickle my funny bone.

I love all interiors but honestly: I would die before I lived in some spaces! I hate cold austerity packaged to the world as modern, functional, workable, durable...together those words sound like a cold coffin six feet under. Pair any of those words with lush, warm, cosy, homey and then I start feeling better about the space.

I just want to take Kelly Hoppen's interiors and throw in a cosy blacket, plush carpets, and granny sofas. Get a look at those floors ...they say Swiss winters to me..frightfully cold!!!

In My Next Life...

It would be quite sad to just live once. There is so much to live for but it can't possibly be done in one lifetime. For example, there are so many decorating styles to choose from- classic, mod, vintage-chic, bourgois bohemian, little girl perfect...

In my next life I would love to own five homes in five different cities. In this life and in this moment I will settle for looking at the many different decorating styles of Mary McDonald. Simply beautiful...no?
