The New Calling Card

I've recently become interested in calling cards--not business cards, for those are rather boring...no? Well I keep thinking there must be some antithesis to the dreaded business-card-i'm-here-to-network-and-don't-you-try-to-stop-me. I really do love the utility behind the business card but I've come to hate what they stand for: uncouth people shoving their business in your face...or sometimes right up your nose. And, honestly I love meeting people but sometimes I couldn't careless what they do between 9 am and 5 pm. Wouldn't it be nice to meet people and get to know the real them...after all, are you your job? And, even if you are, can you not find a way to blend your job with your personality? So here are some ideas for how you can mix things up...

Summer Sales Equal Fall Wardrobe

My best friend's mom is a shopping guru...she used to be a shopper for a department store... a very savvy woman who knows the $value in planning ahead. I always thought she was addicted to her work--- nice work if you can get it by the way. Yes, well the thing I learnt from her is that if you shop the summer sales you end up having Christmas gifts at the ready and also fall fashion on the cheap. The trick when shopping for summer sale clothes to wear in the fall is to go for classic pieces that can be worn year after year.
